Why do I Need to Detox?

“Detox? Why bother? I have a good diet. I eat my vegetables and take multi-vitamins. I exercise for at least 30 minutes three times a week.” Our bodies has a very efficient system to eliminate waste through the kidneys, liver, colon, lungs, skin and bowels. According to nutritional and health research we need to give our organs a rest or a short holiday occasionally. This could involve abstaining from certain foods or alcohol for a set period of time. Some people use herbal detox formulas once a quarter. Is it really necessary?

Flushing out all the toxins in your body will cleanse your vital organs and encourage more  intestinal floral (good bacteria) to grow in your stomach and intestines. This is essential for the body’s natural defence mechanisms. When it is clear of pollution it can focus on fighting and destroying deformed cells which could lead to the development of cancer and other degenerative diseases.

Detoxification helps us prevent future health problems and have more energy to enjoy life.
